Well done dear sister in Christ. There at home, trapped in my imagination, a storyline began to sprout, green and gawky but with enough semblance of form, I kept at it.

The audiobook was narrated well--giving a unique voice to the characters an. But they’re all the kind of people I’m somehow drawn toward, for better or for worse. Sometimes those imaginations would turn into creative writings. I must have missed something.

The pictures posted at the front doors were explicit and so disturbing that I couldn’t shake them out of my head for years. 2 .

Why did you choose New Orleans for the main setting for the book,and also San Fransisco as Jillian’s home?

I’m really disappointed as I thought I had already registered to watch last Friday, January 20th’s free webcast of Beth’s new book, however, I wasn’t able to watch the feed live, and I was hoping it would be available to view in my e-mail. The music was wonderful as well.

Did it all flow or did you change scenes and outcomes and ever get “stuck?”. Beth Moore is a huge name in Christian non fiction, specifically to women's ministry, so there was immediate name recognition when I received this book for review. While in town attending her father's funeral, she meets an eclectic group of tenants from the building.

My nonnegotiable calling is to teach Bible study. I am so excited about this and so excited for you to achieve this goal! I’m praying for someone to pick it up who could never picture herself as the type Jesus would seek out.

There was a big slow spot about 1/3 of the way through and probably a few too many wild overreactions and stomping out the room/slamming the door events considering everyone involved is an adult, but some of that could be cultural or just an over-emphasis on the immaturity of some of the characters early on. Adella, the manager, has a little bit of me in her but not as much as I planned. Raymond Brashear?

Jillian is just starting to feel welcomed at St Sans when strange occurrences begin to happen there. Happy Dance! Polk's ‘The Midnight Bargain’ Fuses Regency Romance with Magic. However, by the first line of the second chapter, the reader is confronted with the reality that the end of a seemingly “wasted” life cannot erase complexity, or connection, or jagged history in the lives of those who remain– even if they want it to. The entire work continued with the skillful construction of multifaceted, enticing characters who we all know in real life if we take just a moment to think about it. Hi Anna, it sounds like an intriguing story. Just finished the fiction book – it was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

I only received a sample from Netgalley, but I am definitely going to purchase the book and finish it. I also love people who try to “get in” so to speak. Jillian Slater's life could best be described as fractured; practically homeless after fleeing an unhealthy relationship, she lands in New Orleans with her estranged grandmother, where her father's unsolved murder taints everyone and everything around her. She lived in the 1700’s and was a wonderfully intelligent woman, poet, writer, missionary, & abolitionist.

This was a fun vid and I’m glad you gave us a quick peek into the backstory of the story! Do they (the words ‘Silvanus’ and ‘Sans’) derive from the same inspiration? Saint Silvanus is the apartment building her grandmother converted from an old church and the renters are an odd collection that Jillian gets to know as she stays for the police investigation. But was taken way with it being in a place I go to weekly. Until we begin to know who we are, our choices regarding what we want can get woefully skewed.
